Your Academic Coaching Experience

In order to make the best out of the tutoring experience, students should come with identified areas of weakness. This is good exercise in self-examination and a time for your student to formulate questions for their tutor. Students who are prepared to ask questions will always gain the most from their tutoring session.

Your student should come equipped with their laptop and power cord, text books, and a pen and paper. Our Academic Coaching tutor will assess the scope of your student’s need and identify areas of weakness. We often find that homework organization needs addressing as much as the content of the subject itself. Keeping an organized notebook allows your student to fully engage the material with a clear mind.

Last, have your student turn off their phone. Tutoring sessions should be a time of focused concentration and emersion.
